Bombolulu Workshops

Bombolulu Workshop, nestled in the vibrant heart of Mombasa, has been a creative hub since 1969. As a proud member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) and a non-profit social enterprise, Bombolulu is not just a workshop; it's a sanctuary for physically disabled artisans from all corners of Kenya.

Spread across four workshops making jewellery, textiles, carving, and mobility aids, Bombolulu is more than a place of craftsmanship—it's a community. Here, artisans receive vocational training across a range of crafting skills, empowering them economically and socially. Today, their remarkable talents not only enrich their lives but also provide them with a community and a means to earn their own income.

All our recycled brass jewellery, is a labour of love, exclusively handmade by the skilled artisans of Bombolulu Workshop. Each detail is meticulously crafted, transforming recycled brass—old broken taps, padlocks, and pipes—into a beautiful, handcrafted jewellery piece.

In a country where provisions for the physically disabled are scarce, Bombolulu stands as a lifeline for its artisans and their families. It's not just about creating beautiful jewellery; it's about fostering inclusivity and resilience. Bombolulu exemplifies the essence of a circular economy, where waste transforms into beauty and every creation carries a story of empowerment.

Join us in celebrating the spirit of creativity, resilience, and inclusion. .
